Welcome to the Pistol Page of the ORPA which deals with Bullseye Pistol Shooting or shooting handguns at round bullseye targets, either indoors or outdoors. Ohio is one of the largest competitive pistol shooting areas in the country.
The Pistol Division of the ORPA annually hosts an outdoor Bullseye Championship at Canton-McKinley Rifle and Pistol Club in Akron as well as an Indoor Championship at one of the finest indoor ranges in the area at Oak Harbor Conservation Club, just a few miles from Camp Perry. In addition. ORPA hosts the Governor's Trophy Tournament. In 2000, the ORPA added an International Pistol Championship at the Ohio State University range in Columbus.
From the shores of Lake Erie to the Ohio River, Ohio is a virtual Competitive Pistol Shooters' paradise.. Throughout the year, it is hard to find more than a couple weeks without a match somewhere in the state at a local club.
