Highpower 2018 ---- From the Director
Greetings Rifle Shooters!
I am Samantha Henderson, Ohio Rifle and Pistol Association`s new highpower director. As highpower director it is my goal to rebuild the highpower program to its former reputation as one of the greatest highpower programs in the country if not the world. It will take a lot of work, but I am ready for the task. Are you?
You see, I need your help. I believe communication is key in having a well-run program. Unfortunately, I do not have a database of past competitors. I need to know so much information to prepare for a match such as, your contact info, how many shooters, what events, etc. So here is how you can help. Click here to go to a Google form to enter in your shooter data. This will let me know the pertinent information I need to organize a quality match and how to contact you to let you know about upcoming matches. You can also help by spreading the word. We need you to let other competitors know to fill out the form as well. Together we can rebuild and restore highppower and make it a strong program once again.
I also feel that an organization is only as strong as its membership. I encourage you to renew your membership with ORPA or join if you are not a past member. We need your involvement, in your State Association to make this work.
I am still working on putting together a match schedule for 2018. Please visit our website www.orpa.net for the latest updates or our Facebook Page . https://goo.gl/forms/3FK7QLL4IziNY3Rf2 to stay up to date.
See you on the range!
ORPA Highpower Director
An Open Letter To The Highpower Community
There has been much anticipation for the 2018 HighPower schedule since a new Director was appointed. There have also been a lot of questions and inquiries about what is going on.
What I can say for now is the new Director, Samantha Henderson, and the new President, Jim Henderson, are working with people and negotiating with Camp Perry personnel to get things going again. When information is available they will pass it along through organized channels. These fine people are new to the organization and I would like to ask your patience to not overwhelm or bombard them with multiple questions per day. It's not fair to them, nor the organization. Again, we will publish information just as soon as we can, to keep you "in the loop".
The deteriorization of the Highpower program was years in the making and will take a while to straighten out. Actually, let me rephrase that. It will take a while to restore the program back to the way it was in the glory years. It will not be just "rebuilt" because that implies we are going back to the same old same old. We are committed to see Highpower regain its prominence once again.
Thank you for your patience and for your cooperation. It is greatly appreciated
G. Martin Capito, Sr.
