Welcome to the Smallbore page. Smallbore rifle shooting is done with .22 rimfire caliber rifles and competition is available for target rifles or light hunting style rifles.  For more information about getting started shooting smallbore click this LINK.

Ohio has very active smallbore programs.  Currently, matches sponsored include the Outdoor Prone and 3-Position Matches held annually in June at Camp Perry, the largest outdoor range in the world and the site of the National Matches. The covered firing points on Petrarca Range are second to none.

Smallbore Programs:

  • April 26-27, 2014 - 89th Annual 3-P Ohio Smallbore Indoor Championship,  Columbus, OH

Course of Fire: 120 shots; 40 shots prone, 40 shots kneeling, 40 shots standing.
Targets: USA 50
Location: The Ohio State University Range, Converse Hall, Room 041, 2121 Tuttle Park Place, Columbus, Ohio
Directions: From Lane Avenue turn south on Tuttle Park Place. Turn right into the parking lot of the (ROTC) Converse Hall.

Team Entries: Entries must be made on the proper NRA entry cards (available at time of individual entry) before any individual on that team fires. Team members must be on team represented and may only fire on one team. Team matches are not a fired event.
Eligibility: State Championship open to ORPA members only
Fees Due at Event:

Individual - $25.00, Team - $10.00
