The ORPA Is Looking For A Few Good Women !!!
We are looking for local affiliated clubs interested in hosting NRA Women On Target programs. Women On Target is one of the most popular and fastest growing NRA programs.
Instructional shoots can be geared to ANY club for ANY discipline, to introduce women to the shooting sports. Instructional shoots usually include a firearm safety briefing, followed by hands-on live fire with firearms. It is important to remember the key to beginning firearms instruction - Make The Shooter Successful ! Success = Fun.
Instructional shoots are usually geared to four or five hours in length, so as not to wear new shooters out. The goal is an introduction, not the creation of new Olympic shooters. Costs are usually minimal and club members can provide firearms. Success also means not starting out with a .300 Win mag or Grandpa's old single barrel 12 gauge goose gun. "Goodie bags" are available for handouts to the women from the NRA, for only the cost of shipping.
Assistance can be provided by ORPA to help set up and promote the shoot as well as offset expenses from the block grant. For further information, please contact:
